Bio

Denise Weldon-Siviy is a retired Technical Writer, having spent 25 years working on systems-level engineering documentation (yawn).  Denise has also worked in library acquisitions, owned an online bookstore, and taught English Composition and Computer Applications as an adjunct at her local community college. Her current goal is to spend her “retirement” travelling widely and writing fiction.  Denise holds an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a BA in English from Washington & Jefferson College and a Masters in Technical Communications with a cognate area of Computer Science from Bowling Green State University (in Ohio).

Denise became interested in the topic of self-publishing and libraries after working for six years in collection development and acquisitions at an academic library. She became more interested when she began exploring the idea of self-publishing her own work.

This work was the result of nearly a year of research, including an extensive independent research project completed as the last class of her MLIS.  Denise apologizes for the extensive citations…
